Early December Update
With 33 weeks to go until The Open, we have now let 107 houses to 17 different nationalities from all over the world. There are 300 houses available on our website under The Open Golf tab. November Update
Open Golf - Over the last three weeks we have conducted a large number of viewings, the general feedback has been great and has resulted in a further 40 houses let. We now have over one hundred tenancies agreed which is a long way a head of this time of year during previous Open Championships.
Lettings - The general letting market for 6 month tenancies remains strong and with over 90% of our properties let we urgently require both family houses and apartments for long term corporate clients.
Sales - JGL continue to sell properties and we have found that with the right propertis at the right price there are buyers out there.
JGL Join The Libyan British Business Council
John Lever our Chairman reports as follows:
“In becoming a member of the Libyan British Business Council, JGL have a superb opportunity to be in at the start of the redevelopment of this new, emerging country.
The new Libyan Government are looking to the West, particularly the U.K. together with France and other Western countries for help and assistance. The Italians are already restoring the airports and low tech business including basic construction will go mainly to Asian based companies.
JGL hope to be involved in delivering bespoke services using our extensive experience in the defence industry, specialising in long term, lifetime solutions for the residential requirements of foreign nationals, relocating into the United Kingdom.
Building on our wide experience supplying the needs of international companies with extensive operations overseas, especially in the Middle East over many years, JGL will work with partner companies and all members of The Libyan British Business Council.
Commenting further John Lever states “JGL understand that the key to employees’ success when they relocate to a foreign country starts with a settled home life and integration of families into the local community”.
Over 50 Properties Now Let
JGL have now let over 50 properties for next years Open Championship. We continue to work through the overwelming response to our website registration and will be inspecting the remaining properties in the coming weeks.

Our eight days at the Information Booth have proved a great success. A number of properties are now let for next year at Lytham and we were amazed at the number of clients who visited our stand who we have looked after in the past. Our sample register was received very well, especially as we follow an Open where accommodation to a high standard has been hard to find and many properties were miles from the Course making difficult travel each day to a very tricky corner of the country.
We return to home confident that the 2012 Open Championship will be a great success for Lytham. We have now taken the opportunity to review our likely demand and will continue to inspect housesover the next few months.
If you have registered with us we will be in touch shortly. The overwhelming requirement from people visiting our stand is their desire to walk to the Course and avoid travel congestion. This is the first question we were constantly asked – “Can we walk onto the Course?” - and, of course, homes in this category will be in great demand.
In the last few months we have been overwhelmed with enquiries from you but there is a finite number of homes that we will require. However, there will be rental opportunities even up to the eve of the Championship.

New Man For The JGL Team
JGL has secured the services of Air Commodore (Retired) Mike Rudd as a Consultant to the Company to strengthen our focus on future business and strategy. Mike brings a wealth of experience and achievement from careers in the public and private sectors. Throughout his years as an operational military pilot he spent time in the Ministry of Defence in London as well as overseas supporting British industry and later with the United Nations. He is a Member of the Royal College of Defence Studies. In the private sector he has operated at board level having responsibilities for business development with the UK’s major defence company. Mike was raised in New Zealand and enjoys outdoor activities including golf and sailing.
