Oakwood Lodge is located in the picturesque seaside village of Kingsdown, just a stroll from the beach, golf course and the famous white cliffs and miles of coastal footpaths. Oakwood lodge has a Tudor beamed exterior and was individually designed and built by an architect and carpenter. It incorporates handcrafted timber features throughout with wooden floors and honey coloured Oak beams giving the house a warm cottage style character. There lodge has a private drive and garage which can accommodate up to three cars easily.

The large sitting room runs the full depth of the property with a bay window at one end and sliding doors to the garden at the other, a large brick fireplace in the style of an inglenook has a wood burning stove. The L shaped open plan kitchen has a range cooker with plenty of cabinets and work space, it also has a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. The open plan dining area has an extended dining table seating six guests. The first floor provides four attractive bedrooms and a family bath/shower room, the generous master bedroom also benefits from an en-suite with steam shower cabinet. The two front bedrooms have lovely views of the open countryside and Walmer and Kingsdown golf course.

The village of Kingsdown amenities include a general store, butcher and post office, together with three local inns, all a short walk away. The historic Walmer Castle, with its beautiful gardens and views of the sea are also a short walk away. Nearby, Deal is a traditional coastal town which has a twist of the creative scene, boasting an award winning high street with a mix of individual shops, restaurants and cafes, an attractive seafront, Grade II listed pier and historic Tudor Castle. There are endless opportunities for outdoor pursuits in the area and a pleasant two mile promenade and cycle route spans between Kingsdown and Deal. Walmer mainline railway station is a seven minute drive away and offers a comprehensive service with links to the Javelin high speed train to London St Pancras. Deal station and bus routes are all within a short distance with transport access to Sandwich, Dover (Castle) and Canterbury.
